DIRECTIONS: Leave me a comment saying anything random, like your favorite lyric to your current favorite song. Or your favorite kind of sandwich. Something random. Whatever you like. I respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better. Update your LJ with the answers to the questions. Include this explanation. When others comment asking to be asked, you will ask them five questions.

1. What one skill would you most like to have?

There are so many skills I would to have but the two I really want and I can't choose between them is acrobatic skills or to be able to play muscial instruments well. Both of which are totally beyond my reach but I think there's something wonderful about being able to pick up or sit down at an instrument and be able to produce music, something I've never been able to do.

2. Would you consider writing children's books as a career?

I would love to do that I have written childrens stories in the past to amuse the kids I've worked with, however I'm not sure about putting them forward. If I ever managed to finish the stuff I start writing and get some decent feedback I would totally consider it.

3. What is it about yaoi that appeals so?

Hmm that's a toughie. I think it's because the idea of guy-meets-girl has been explored again and again. Whilst there's still a thrill in a really go story or a manga, yaoi has the kind of taboo involved. If there are three guys and one girl in normal anime/manga they all have the chance to fall in love/have sex with the leading lady and they usually all fight over her. Chuck in the yaoi element and there's surprise in there too. Plus due to yaoi being this slightly taboo thing, there isn't as much outright smut a good portion of yaoi is not all out wall-to-wall smut: there's story build up and that gets female imaginations churning. I find sometimes in straight manga it's either the girl get romanced and the sex is all lovely and fluffy rose petals or it's violent and rough, often forced, there's no middleman (so to speak). Sometimes we don't like things that simple and it's something new and variety is the spice of life.

4. What is your happy mental place?

My happy mental place is when I'm listening to really good music that perks me up or thinking about happy things from the past.

5. If you could be transported into any anime, which would it be?

Trinity Blood sounds really fun to go into although what I'd do there with the amazing lack of special skills I don't know. I think I would really like to be transported into the anime of Aria and become an undine, showing people around Neo-Venezia, discussing the history and taking part in all the traditions. It just sounds utterly lovely. I wouldn't be adverse to teaching in Azumanga Daioh either.

1. I'd have to go with the poetry book a friend of mine got me for my birthday by Toon Tellegen, Daar zijn woorden voor; there are words for that.
2. Something that, according to the online translater, would be called strawberry pot cheese cake. It's fresh and sweet and soft in taste and complexion and I think that kind of suits me... Along with the fact that I LOVE that cake XD
3. Right
4. One of the first things is that, along with all the problems a normal coppel could have, there's the whole tabboo thing that can make for a whole additional set of problems. I think there's also some recognition in there because those problems are things that could very well happen to me as I'm bi. Also, I just think two man (or two woman for the matter, but sadly yuri in the way I like it is not around as much) look amazingly hot and sweet together. Also, the way it is written appeals to me. Rather than 'normal' porn, I guess yaoi appeals more to my tastes.
Now I don't read all yaoi around. I'm a total sucker for soft, sweet and angsty. I hate when one of the two people in the relationship get too pushy (read; I start yelling at my computer so hard that people ask what the hell happened) and I really, really can't stand non-con. If there's non-con for the sake of the plot I can tollerate it, but I usually skip over the actual scene.
5. Hmmm that's a tough one. I'd say the hardest is continuïng what I started for long enough to finish it, but I'm slowly working on that. Also, having this great idea for a scene and than getting it on paper. I all too often think in pictures or small movies and that just doesn't always work out on paper...
