Okay, normally I couldn't give a sod about the christmas number one but now ...

On the one hand: the X-Factor single, all profits to Simon Cowell, a cover that should NEVER be covered by the wannabe popstars,
On the other hand: the Peter Kaye single, all profits to NSPCC, a poke-fun at X-Factor, a man in drag (panto dame anyone), and an original song that pokes fun at Christmas singles.

I know what I'm after.

Keth's work do was on saturday night, a regularly lovely occasion and this time we didn't go mad with the free bar. We both took it in moderation and lo and behold we were still awake at 2am!! Us! The couple who go to parties and think about tea cosies, newsnight and cocoa by 10pm (or rather Ribena, Popcorn and Soul Eater if you are us).

My memory stick (the expensive on, the least abused one of the four (it has a slotty bit to keep it safe and dust free)... i.e. the one that should actually be still working!) has died. I died as I rounded the corner in Fulbourn; iust be something to do with a deadly kerbs in Fulbourn village. They creep up out of nowhere and combined with deadly dog-walkers and suicidal postmen turns Fulbourn in some kind of New York Ghetto ... or maybe it's just me not particularly used to having random people leap in front of my car and neither is my memory stick. It had a funny turn then and it expired finally on my bedside table.

In other news I marked the mocks. Go me! Or at least I marked the English Lit mocks and still have the lang to go ... boo.

K-chan is a sleepy K-chan as I type. I've managed to catch a rather big cold the weekend with muzzy head syndrome and although I managed to clear it temporarily for the work-do, it has taken far logner for me to do teaching planning this weekend due to muzzymuzzy head and nose and sinus etc. etc. Therefore K-chan has become a cross between Nigella, Florence Nightingale and a Dyson all in one (a sexy cook who pairs your socks, lets you stay in bed and has an array of interesting gadgets to use around the house).

He also won the Partner of the Year Award this morning by bringing me a bacon sandwich with hp sauce. Absolute Angel (Or Angel on Absolut as was last night)

He has corrected me. It wasn't an Angel. It was Wonder Woman ... and she had Tequila.
